Expert Witness
The Highway Engineer may be involved at some time in his/her career as acting as an expert witness. This can be in relation to simple safety matters involving personal or traffic accidents through to complex public inquiries on major planning applications. Expert Highway Witnesses appear in legal cases at local Magistrates Courts and County Courts, through to the High Court and the Royal Courts of Justice in London.
Expert Highway Witnesses are involved in planning applications and appeals, planning enforcement appeals, public highway closures and Traffic Regulation Orders, public rights of way issues (closures and diversions) and alleged professional negligence.
The Highway Engineer will provide expert witness evidence on behalf of both private and public sector clients and their duty to the court to provide honest, consistent, unbiased, professional advice at all times.
